I like to use Bai Water bottles... they are thin and durable like Smart Water, but they have a mouth as big as Gatorade bottles, so it's much easier to mix stuff in the water (no breaking tablets)

Is there any way you can zoom out at times so we can get more of the view? Just wondering is all. Keep going step by step hun, each day out in nature is such a worthy adventure.

You’re right, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.

@ 1:27 Ive been stung there before but I was riding a bike and thought I pulled a muscle but I dont understand why all these bees and wasps are on your hike when I dont remember any when I hiked that section but you have more smoke than I had so that's a thing. Just about in that area past Burney I got bit by a huge ant. It's like, if he wanted to bite me why not bite my ankle, why crawl all the way up inside my shorts . . . I had to pull him off as he would not let go.

Deer are not "friendly", they just know we pee salt and they need the salt. They follow you when you get up in the middle of the night. If you are camping they are off in the distance (breaking twigs as they walk) hoping you will get up and give them a salt donation . . . And mountain lions do not reflect green in their eyes. Thy can be greenish but they usually reflect yellow/gold. Ferrets reflect green, as do a LOT of other animals including ones that usually reflect yellow or white (deer for example) Foxes are red to purple . . . Even if you google it you get different answers so I would always assume it was a deer and stick to that unless proven otherwise. (check for tracks of deer or cats) And then there's the issue of what color light is being shined at them. New LED headlamps are more blue than the old incandescent flashlights so that might make some look a little greener than normal. If all you see are it's eyes when you shine a light on something that large, you need a brighter light. Picture of lions eyes at night . . . www.thepitchkc.com/mountain-lion-with-evil-glowing-eyes-spotted-in-platte-county/

(@ 6:04) . . . I only got *creeped out* in campsites that were TOOO QUIET where you could hear a leaf fall a long way away and I'm completely alone and you think every noise is an animal right outside your tent or a mouse trying to chew a hole in your tent. It only happened two times but you never forget those nights that keep you awake stressing you out till the middle of the night. When there are lots of noises you know what almost all of them are so you can ignore them but when there are no noises and then you hear something I somehow just want to know what it is and then 5 minutes later there's another different noise and then another and you dont know what any of them are. An acorn falling sounds like a giant footstep . . . If it was just for an hour or two I might not even remember it but when it's all night and the air is not even moving . . . it drained me.

I take the three "iums" . . . sodium, potassium and magnesium and I also take a Methyl Folate. The strange thing is that I did not get many cramps but I was plagued by them a week after I got home and had to start hiking again to make them go away. I was doing only 15-16 miles a day through this section as well but was flying again after Selden Pass.

Recommended training for backpacking? Stair Master with weight is a good idea. 2016, at 235 lbs, I started walking to work wearing a weight vest and carried a backpack with some more weight, every work day for 4 months. It was just to get in shape, not with backpacking in mind. Lost 70 lbs or so pounds and was then introduced to backpacking. My first few backpacking trips were a breeze. Best training for backpacking? Backpacking :-)

Mountain lions typically have yellow eyes when shined by a light it also depends on the light you are using. I trap mountain lions among other things for the state i have seen hundreds at night! They are Yellow. Also if a mountain lion is walking around your camp most likely you will not hear it. They are experts at walking quietly. I can almost guarantee you have encountered more then one mountain lion on your hike you just didn't see it... bit it saw you. I would say it was a deer just because the simple fact you could hear it doing things outside your tent. you would not hear a mountain lion unless it growled or screamed.
